Privacy notice
Last updated: 25 October 2026
Don't want to hear from us? Reply to any of our emails, or email hello@tendderr.com with the word ‘unsubscribe’. We'll add you to our suppression list and won't contact you again.
This notice explains what personal information Tendderr holds, why, and what your rights are. We've tried to keep it short and in plain English.
Who we are
Tendderr is a trading name of Mark Hutchinson, a sole trader, of Ground Floor, Radley House, Richardshaw Road, Leeds, LS28 6LE, United Kingdom. We are the controller of the personal information described in this notice.
For any privacy question or request, email us at hello@tendderr.com or write to us at the address above.
What information we hold
- Business contact details: names, job titles, business email addresses, business phone numbers and business addresses of people at contracting firms we think may benefit from our service.
- Correspondence: emails and other messages you send us, and our replies, including details you give us about your business and the work you're interested in.
- Work information: if you use our tender alert, suitability check or bid preparation, the information needed to provide that service.
We don't seek or hold sensitive (special category) information.
Where we get it
We collect business contact details from public sources, such as Companies House and company websites. Otherwise, we get information directly from you when you contact us or use our service.
How we use it
- To contact businesses about our tender alert, suitability check and bid preparation services.
- To reply to your enquiries and provide the services you ask for.
- To keep a suppression list so we respect opt-outs.
- To keep the business records we're required to keep by law.
Our legal basis
Under the UK GDPR, we rely on legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) to contact people at businesses about services that are relevant to their work. Our interest is in telling contractors about a service that may help them win public-sector work. We keep this contact proportionate: we only use business contact details, we only contact businesses whose work relates to what we offer, and you can opt out at any time.
Where you ask us to provide a service, we process your information to take steps at your request and to perform our agreement with you (Article 6(1)(b)). Where the law requires us to keep records, we rely on legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).
Electronic marketing rules (PECR)
The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) allow businesses to send marketing emails to corporate subscribers (such as limited companies, limited liability partnerships, Scottish partnerships and public bodies) without prior consent, provided the sender is identified and a simple way to opt out is given in every message. We only send unsolicited emails to corporate addresses on that basis, and every email we send tells you who we are and how to opt out.
We will not send unsolicited marketing emails to sole traders or to partnerships in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, who count as individual subscribers under PECR, unless they have agreed to hear from us.
How to opt out
You can object to our contact at any time, for free. Reply to any of our emails, or email hello@tendderr.com with ‘unsubscribe’. We'll stop contacting you and add your email address to our suppression list. We keep that minimal record only so that we don't contact you again.
Who we share it with
We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We only share it with service providers who help us run the business, such as our email and file storage providers, and only so they can provide those services to us. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Business contact details for people who haven't engaged with us: up to 12 months from our last contact, then deleted.
- Correspondence and client records: as long as needed to provide the service, and then for as long as the law requires us to keep business records.
- Suppression list entries: kept for as long as we market our services, so that we respect your opt-out.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- ask us to correct anything that's inaccurate
- ask us to delete your information
- ask us to restrict how we use it
- object to our use of it, including an absolute right to object to direct marketing
To use any of these rights, email hello@tendderr.com. We'll respond within one month.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please tell us first and we'll try to put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
